ST. CHARLES COUNTY, MO. (KMOV.com) – St. Charles County will open three new parks in the coming months.
Those leading the project says it’s a time of “unprecedented development.”
Riverside Landing will open this weekend. It’s the first of three to open to the public between now and October.
Others include The Park at New Melle Lakes and Veterans Tribute Park.
“Our mission is to preserve the natural and historical feature of St. Charles County,” said parks director Ryan Graham. “So when you come out to our parks you’re going to see areas of woodlands that you can hike and bike through as well as some historical features.”
Graham said the county’s park expansion is thanks to a use tax voters previously passed.
According to him, tt helps fund the entire department.
